I will attempt, yet again to keep some sort of log. I am not calling this a blog. It is supposed to be short and concise. In no way am I addressesing this writing to anyone. So expect random, meaningless dribble.

Well its halloween weekend and everything to do is up in chaos. Not that it's anything out of the norm. Tonight is find a house party night. It's going to be a very crazy following week and weekend, i'll get to that later. Tonight Mike A knows of a warehouse party, but not the details. Hoepfully this pulls through because brian h and I do not know what else to do. We can always hang at the house, but that seems to be lame these days.
I am going to dress up as a priest and have a alter boy prop. Not sure what to use as the alter boy but I know the priest costume will be easy. I am thinking of finding a cardboard cut out, a larger than normal doll, or anything else that can represent a 6 yr old boy.
Considering it's Friday, it brings a sense of closure to my life, part 1, in Michigan, only one week left until I peace out to california.

Ahh.. March.. The real first month

Went to Colins St Paddies kegger. Was a great time. Smoked too many cigarettes, got hassled by some bumbs, met and talked to a lot of people I didn't know. I ate the best burger (just seemed like that at the time, which was 4am) at the Pork Store. This was a big ass burger for 4am, left me feeling like crap the next morning. Wasn't right at all!

Today was rough. I pretty much slept all day. There were times I wanted to play the PS3 or hack some linux stuff but I couldn't even accomplish that. Now 7pm rolls around and i'm finally back. Just burning time on the internet.

Well today I am officially signed up for the south-end alcatraz swim. It's about 1.5 miles in cold, choppy, somewhat poluted water. I have to step it up for my workout in order to account for the cold and the choppy.
It should be easy to outline my workout schedule. I need to add an additional 16 laps in the pool to equal a mile and a half. Getting there should be easy. I am pretty sure there are two components to it. Every other day is a swim day. Usually these days are Mon, Wed, and Sun. Alternating swim days (Mon & Sun) I will swim without interuption to build endurance. The other day is a regular workout schedule to build stamina. 500 free (2x), 250 kick (2x) + the additional workout to reach the remaining .5 mile (16 extra laps).
The Alcatraz swim is on Sept 15, 2007 (180 days from now!!!) I will outilne more later when I have a better understanding of my fatigue levels after 2 weeks of this regimen
I probably should mention that last Friday I bought a PS3 and a 32" LCD screen. WTF!

After work went for a swim which I did straight with no break (Just 1 mile). Wasn't as ahrd as I thought. Also have started the no smoking bit. Currently i'm at the stage of i'm not buying them. Even though I know how this shit works, I'll still say it.
After the swim I went over to B's house where we just shot the shit. Nick got us into IRC on OFTC in #linux-iscsi to chat it up. He outlined steps to a embeded device to integrate camera phones with iscsi. Later Bryan and I thought of an easier approach, assuming we understood everything nick was talking about.

Both Friday and Saturday got wasted! Friday B and I went to Walnut Creek (WC) to Nabs house and tooled around downtown. Got pretty drunk that night. Watched a movie I can't recall the name of but from what I remember it was interesting. Talked up many projects and the timings of these "Small Applications" that i'm not even going to mention in this stuipd web log. I believe we're really onto startup material.
Saturday was yet another night in Palo Alto (PA). Karl and I went down and did what we always do. Got there early enough to play some darts with some lawyers. Talked to lots of people and had a good ol' time. Smoked a spliff with a bumb, talked to some women but by that time I had just given up because I could hear myself slurring my words. Karl and I then proceed to Rudys and closed that place out.
Everybody has a joker in their sleeve

I really don't feel like writing in this but lets see if that changes after a few sentences push their way out. This weekend was an exciting, exhausting, exhibit of exhilerating adventure. It's exactly what I needed. B and I planned a trip to Big Basin where we enjoyed hours of hiking in the woods. The trails and weather was beautiful. The abundant wild life was refreshing. While hiking I saw a Wolf stop and stare me at me after turning the corner of a trail. He quickly and silently jumped down the side of a trail and was gone. Speaking of animals, There were no big party animals out that night. Unfortunate since after all that hiking we built up quite the beer appetite. Hung around the campfire and drank beer all night. Cooked some stews camp fire style and got wasted. Soon as we ran out of wood (which didn't take extraordinarily long) we went to bed. Must have gotten quite the work out since we slept till 10:30 AM! That doesn't usually happen, it's like 3 hours passed normal outdoor sleeping habits for me.

If forgot everything, most would call it a tragedy. I would think it is also, however I want to run w/ this idea. Computers are difficult to use for long periods of time (years really) because people dislike change. In more detail, change in how a particular piece of software should function. Now if you could forget everything and research/investigate it again, I doubt we'd end up with the same algorithms in use today.

spent last night getting wasted beyond belief. Founders is always a good bar and we were there until around 12am atleast. Marko showed up late and I saw him and chatted shortly about his burns. I went home with Lizz (this girl from the bar ) <snip>
